This is a video questionaire that we created by asking fellow students that had an interset in a Alternative based genre. The questions that we asked in the questionaire were:
Have they heard of the artist?
What is the most iconic music video they have ever seen?
Do they prefer music videos that are performance, narrative or concept based? What are the most important aspects of a music video for them?
What sort of music video would suit Brandon Flowers?
What do they think is important in a Digipak?
What sort of format should the albumn name be?
Should photos or drawings be used on the albumn cover?
By reviewing the audience research we have learnt people know of Brandon Flowers because of his work in The Killers, however some people were unaware that he has created a solo album. We also found out that the music video should have elements of performance, concept and a narrative in it with a good mix of all three so that there will be a varity. The music video has to have a distinctive style and a strong storyline as well as some key shots so that it looks more professional. The Album name should be a one word title and the cover should have clear photographs instead of a hand drawn image as it is much clearer and easier for the customer to understand.
